Exclude from Mobile
03/02/12 8:24 AM

Is "exclude from mobile" functionality turned off for the super-skeleton theme? I realize that there is no mobile.cfm template as it is unnecessary for this flex grid theme. However, when I can go to exclude a page from mobile navigation, one of two things happens:
(1) If it is a password-protected page, it dumps the user's session and displays a login UI on the home page; or,
(2) If it is just a normal page, it shows the page, does not exclude it.

Is there a way I can get the exclusion logic back? And, how do I show a more elegant message when a page has been denied for mobile viewing?

Thanks for the assistance.

It should be there. Also if you update your core there are new options for mobile navigation:

Include for all
Include for Mobile Only
Exclude from Mobile

We'll test it out.

The option is there, Matt. However, on my site the functioning is per points #1 and #2 in my original note. If you cannot reproduce the error, please let me know and I can e-mail access to my site and admin. Thanks.

I've looked at this some more. Perhaps there is a lack of understanding on my part exactly what this feature does. I thought it would prevent the page from displaying on a mobile device. Perhaps it literally just excludes it from some Mura navigation objects??

In my testing, for an excluded page:
1) It would exclude the page from it's top-called navigation if the URL was entered from www.mydomain.com.
2) The page was not excluded from any navigation when entered from mydomain.com, without the www in the URL.
3) The page was not excluded from any sub navigation elements, like any of the navigation items found in system content objects.

Hope that description helps.
