Did we say 5.2.1? The next version of Mura is now 5.3 and in this episode of the Mura Show, we talk some more about features in this new version, some other new features on the horizon (site import/export, change sets, CKFinder in 5.3, Using "Custom UI" for Extended Attributes" including a quick overview of the "publisher/subscriber" plugin as an example use case, using subdomains (or any domains) with multiple site installs, using SSL certs globally or in a specific section of a site without password-protection, and the forthcoming Theme forest themes for Mura.

Mura Show #29 - Open Forum

In this episode, we debut some features new to the forthcoming Mura 5.2.1: CKEditor 3, Drag and Drop in the Site Manager, a recent security patch. We then jump into a question on using programming frameworks, the launch of the new Mura-powered telephones.att.com, custom content types in the class extension manager and using them with the Mura iterator, dynamic values in settings.ini.cfm, using different sizes for associated images, adding Gravatars to comments, and using extended attributes to expire Calendar items when used in a Local Index, and more.

 In this episode we field questions on allowing Site Members (as opposed to Admin Users) the ability to edit explicit content from the front-end of a site, explore a URL rewrite issue removing index.cfm from URLs in a specific configuration, show how to override styles when using "associated images" when using a portal or Local Index, and how to set up custom paths  for asset directories, among others.

Mura Show #26 - Preview of Uber Gallery Plugin and Open Forum

In this episode, Grant Shepert of Meld Solutions gives us a preview of their forthcoming "Uber Gallery" plugin, troubleshoot an "add site" issue with Tomcat, discuss how times are set in Mura for content and such, review some ways in which Mura will move towards html5 and devolve into a discussion about the finer points of html semantics.

Mura Show #25 - Open Forum

In this episode we discuss some new changes to FW/1 that provides some key integrations between Mura and FW/1, sorting portals alphabetically, randomly displaying content (components, pages), customizing the calendar (to modify the dspNestedNav method), what an "app reload" does, using the eventHandler.cfc and contentRenderer.cfc to target types and subtypes at the theme level, handling redirects when migrating an old site to a Mura site, how to use the Mura Scope to find out what type of  content the parent of a node is, and ways one might use multiple display regions in templates.

Mura Show #22 - Open Forum
